Route : Delhi-Haridwar-Rishikesh-Delhi

“Haridwar”, literally means the “gateway to god” .

The soulful environment of the city is accentuated with the sound of bells, artis and chants coming form several temples and ashrams that are a dotted accross the city.

Situated on the banks of holy river Ganga, the city is an important cultural and religious destination of the country. Apart from its religious significance the free flowing Ganga, as it descends down to the plains at Haridwar adds to the scenic beauty & appears as if the river is welcoming travelers with its arms wide open.

Rishikesh is derived from Rishikesha, one of the many names of Lord Vishnu. It means ‘Lord of senses’. Rishikesh conjures up images of resonating bells, holy dips, soaring hills and the gushing water of the Ganges. Located on the banks of the holy river, it is an interesting blend of pilgrimage and adventure. It is a gateway of the revered high altitude Char-Dham pilgrimage of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.

Haridwar & Rishikesh is also the doorway to several other pilgrimages like the Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamnotri.
